Piece 1: Press Release
Written For:
Internship (Creative Wealth International)
Objective:
Inform local media that the founder of Creative Wealth International would be using her ‘Camp Millionaire’ program to educate students at a local high school about the basic principles of money
Notes:
- Full-page article was written in the Santa Barbara News-Press in response to this press release
Piece 2: Travel Brochure
Written For:
Class Assignment (Professional Communication in Marketing and PR)
Objective:
Create a brochure for a group project about a “voluntour” to New Orleans, targeted at middle-income families
Notes:
- Wrote the itinerary and package features based on market research my group conducted
- Designed in Adobe InDesign
Piece 3: Print Advertisement
Written For:
Class Assignment (BizComm Minor Capstone Class)
Objective:
Create a print advertisement to generate awareness about the Green Business Program of Santa Barbara County to local businesses
Notes:
- Received positive feedback on design and use of clear, engaging message
- Designed in Adobe InDesign
Piece 4: Fundraising Letter and Insert
Written For:
Class Assignment (BizComm Minor Capstone Class)
Objective:
Write a fundraising letter and create an informational insert addressed to a potential donor to sponsor sustainable business writing awards given out yearly by the UCSB Writing Program
Notes:
- Created logo in Macromedia Fireworks and designed insert in Adobe InDesign
Piece 5: Sections of Business Plan
Written For:
Class Assignment (Writing for Business Communication)
Objective:
Provide industry analysis and a product description for a collaborative business plan to open a drive-thru breakfast restaurant in Los Angeles

- Researched information about the quick-service restaurant segment of the restaurant industry
- Created graphs in Microsoft Excel
